Being a first generation American to parents originally from Honduras, Kat understands the importance of hard work and perseverance. Upon graduating Cum Laude with her BA in Economics from West Virginia University, she went on to serve as an agricultural volunteer for Peace Corps, Paraguay. This experience fueled a passion for community development and outreach. Following the Peace Corps, Kat gained corporate experience in the Real Estate & Facilities department at Condé Nast, where she worked on the 700k sq ft. restack of the company headquarters located at 1 World Trade Center. Her experience helping people develop their communities and work spaces made her want to go into real estate and help others find their perfect homes. Kat continues to volunteer for an organization close to her heart, a Honduran-based non-profit called the Solidarity Project- her focuses are on women’s development and social media. Outside of her professional life, Kat prioritizes her health, peace, and spending time with her friends and family. She believes that life is short and always wants to make sure her circle feels loved and supported.
